Blake Lively Mayonnaise Hair Treatment Review! – Girl, Please

Condiments are not only for your burgers and hot dogs anymore!  In my first episode of “Girl, Please” I reveal Blake Lively’s secret to get her gorgeous, goddess-like locks.  “Girl, Please” will uncover and test out crazy celebrity beauty secrets that make you say that very phrase. I put them to the test to find out if they actually do the trick!

So what is Blake Lively’s beauty hair secret?  Drum roll please… MAYONNAISE!  Yes, Blake Lively puts that (disgusting!) substance in her hair.

I personally have a not-so-loving relationship with mayo.  I don’t like! It smells and really grosses me out. But I will do whatever it takes to put these crazy beauty hacks to the test, so here we go!

Why is mayonnaise used as a hair treatment? Mayo is made with an oil base and contains some hair healthy ingredients like lemon juice, vinegar, and soybean oil that contains fatty acids and vitamins that can boost shine and act to seal in moisture.  The vinegar in mayo helps restore PH levels and the proteins found in mayo stops breakage.  So mayo is the perfect hair beauty formula, right?

Step one, apply mayonnaise to clean, damp hair.  Start at the roots and work in the mayo to the tips just as you would with conditioner.  Put on a shower cap and let sit for 20 minutes.  Next, rinse with a non-drying shampoo to remove mayo from your hair.  Finally brush and blow-dry to see the final results!  After my blow dry I’ll fill you in on whether it’s a “NO way, girl” or “you GO, girl”!  Watch my video to see my reaction as I douse my hair with Mayonnaise and especially, if you want to see me in my cute shower cap!
